Founded in 2013, J/70 Italian Class is the class association that manages the competitive activity of the J/70s and their crews on Italian territory. It is led by Federico Siragna, who chairs the board which includes Massimo Rama and Paolo Acinapura.

After two decades of activity, the J/70 universe is constantly expanding: to date, over 2,000 units are sailing around the world. An important presence, which has made the J/70 one of the most appreciated international standards.

One of the most reliable partners of the J/70 International Class, today led by Vittorio Di Mauro,  J/70 Italian Class has organized important international events over the years, such as the J/70 World Championship 2017 in Porto Cervo (170 registered , an absolute record for a one-design event), the J/70 European Championship 2018 in Malcesine (120 participants) and the J/70 Corinthian World Cup 2023 in Riva del Garda.
